BTS: Silex at Lumin Studio

On October 10th, Lumin Studio, a photography studio in East Williamsburg where fashion, art, and culture converge, opened its doors. We were lucky enough to help celebrate this moment. Our dear friend Stefy Lin, co-founder of Lumin, reached out to us for a scent activation, a way to bring the studio’s atmosphere to life through fragrance.

When we set out to create the candle, we weren’t just thinking about wick and wax. We were thinking about space, light, scent, story. We wanted the candle to be more than an object, an ambient presence that reflects the ethos of a creative studio turned sensory brand. The result: our Silex scent candle, now part of the studio’s launch and featured on Coveteur.

Silex was reimagined as candles, filling the room with quiet warmth. Its mineral, smoky notes drifted through conversations, music, and flowers. It’s always special to see Silex live beyond the bottle breathing into a space, becoming part of a moment.

The process was intimate. Late into the night, we blended the formula by hand, waiting for the wax to cool, watching shadows stretch across the table. Every pour carried a trace of orris root, a whisper of iris, the faint echo of something ancient beneath the surface.

We were also so happy that our dear friends @jungteng_ and @an____chen were part of the evening. Jung, a pastry chef at Eleven Madison Park and An a DJ, brought his own flavor of creativity and energy to the room, making the night even more alive.

Thank you @stefy.lin and @yanran.xiong for trusting us and including us in this beautiful launch and thank you to all the friends who came to support🤍

Until next time...
